Due to the nature of the products, we can only ship within the United States, excluding the following states:

We ship through FedEx and UPS.

You'll receive your tracking number typically 24-48 hours after your order.

More often than not - there is a delay with the tracking number being populated. However, if your tracking number is saying that the number can't be found, there's a chance we made a typo when entering the tracking number. Please reach out to Jake@shutterbombs.com or help@shutterbombs.com and we'll get you taken care of.

Unfortunately, we cannot rush any shipments. Since we are legally required to ship smoke bombs via hazmat, this means they have to be shipped via ground, and delivery trucks can only go so fast. 

Smoke bombs are classified as hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and are among the most complicated, regulation-heavy, and expensive products to ship. Because they could pose a danger to people, property, or the environment, there are many rules and regulations required to transport them.

We are legally required to use a hazmat courier to deliver your order. The hazmat shipping cost is a flat rate of $39.99 for each shipment, regardless of how many smoke bombs are in there. There is literally no way around it. We do not set this price (Fedex/UPS sets the price).

Anybody shipping smoke bombs for cheaper is either eating the cost completely or doing it illegally. We prefer not to put ourselves at risk of a fine of $500,000 for shipping hazardous materials that isn't done through HAZMAT. 

For this reason we recommend ordering more units per order to get the best bang for your buck. Shipping discounts start once you reach $100 in your cart, see below for more information:

I hate the hazmat shipping just as much as you do - but unfortunately, there's just no way around it. 

Otherwise, my recommendation is to round up some buddies and all go in on an order to hit that $200 free shipping threshold.

Orders are processed within 1-2 business days after they are placed. We ship out of the West Coast, so shipping will be dependent on your location from there. It will also depend on when you place your order. We do not ship on Saturday or Sunday.

Please see below on expected shipping time frames. These timeframes are from when you receive your shipping notification.

West Coast: 2-3 business days
Midwest: 3-5 business days
East Coast: 5-8 business days

These are just estimates and shipping times could always be shorter or longer. We cannot change addresses once they are shipped.

No we cannot.

Yes - a signature is required to receive the package. If you aren't home to to sign for the package, they will try several more times. FedEx will only attempt delivery 3-4x on business days. Then the package will be held at the sorting facility for further instructions. They will not send it to a satellite or store location. After 5 business days, the sorting facility will return the package unless the customer makes further arrangements for to retrieve the package.

Yes, it is very possible the smoke can sometimes stain some clothing materials, especially at the top of the smoke bomb, where the smoke is being released towards the end of the smoke generation. It is also possible that the smoke bombs can stain outdoor surfaces such as concrete if left on their side for a period of time.

It is never recommended to breathe in smoke. Our smoke is considered to be non-toxic. However, the chemical reaction producing the smoke does produce an odor similar to fireworks and some individuals may react differently based on their personal sensitivity.

No, absolutely not. Don't do that.

Our smoke bombs should last 2-4 years if stored in a cool, dry place. However, we believe they are kind of like wine, and may get better with age.

If there is an issue with the order or any product contained within, customers should email help@shutterbombs.com with your order number to discuss. 

As we stand behind our products, should one be found faulty or defective, we will refund the customer the unit price for the product(s). The refund will be processed to the same card that the transaction was made on within 14 days. We do request proof of the faulty unit be provided – pictures, video, etc.

We do not accept returns. Simply because shipping products via hazmat is nearly impossible for the average citizen, as smoke bombs are one of the most highly regulated and expensive products to ship. Often times you need a special permit to even ship through Hazmat.

The smoke bombs last for 3-5 years if stored in a cool/dry place, so keep them handy for the next celebration or 4th of July. We also recommend posting these on Offer Up or Facebook Marketplace, our customers have said they get sold pretty quickly!

Orders will only be refunded in full if cancelled prior to shipping and/or FedEx/UPS has been found at fault for the customers order issue. Once the order has been shipped, we cannot cancel nor fully refund your order (unless you have defective devices). 

I'm a nice guy (being from Minnesota and all) - and always want to make sure you're happy with your order. I do my best to ensure this and will happily refund you for any duds you may encounter.
