If a smoke bomb is faulty you choose: store credit at 1.5× the unit price (a $64.98 pack = $97.47 credit, auto-applies at checkout, never expires) or an exact product refund. Are your smoke bombs safe to use around people?
Yes — all Shutter Bombs products use a non-toxic cool-burn formula. The smoke is produced without open flame and burns at low temperatures. CE Approved (EU) and ATF Compliant (US). Use in well-ventilated outdoor spaces and avoid extended inhalation.
How long does the smoke last?
Burn time varies by model: EG25 ≈ 25 seconds per unit (10-pack) · Twin Vent II ≈ 25 seconds (intense dual-vent burst) · WP40-D ≈ 60 seconds · TP40 ≈ 60 seconds · WP40 ≈ 90 seconds. For photography, the 60–90 second models give you enough time for 30–50 shots in a fast-paced session. The Twin Vent II trades duration for density — it dumps its charge from both ends simultaneously for maximum visual impact in a short window.
What's the difference between wire-pull and top-pull?
Wire-pull smoke bombs (WP40, WP40-D, Twin Vent II, EG25) activate by pulling a ring away from the body — great for one-handed use. Top-pull (TP40) is activated by pulling the top cap upward. Both ignition systems produce the same dense smoke; it's purely a preference of activation style.
Can I use these indoors?
We strongly recommend outdoor use only. In enclosed spaces, smoke concentrations can build quickly and trigger fire alarms. If you must shoot indoors, ensure full ventilation, disable smoke alarms in advance, and use only one smoke bomb at a time with all windows/doors open.
Do they expire? How long can I store them?
Shutter Bombs smoke bombs last for years when stored in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. Sealed products are stable and reliable well beyond a typical shooting season.

We had to order both colors for our gender reveal because we didn’t know at the time we placed the order what the gender would be and when we got them both in the same box we didn’t know which one was which so we had to guess and prayed we got it right! These smoke bombs were perfect! At first it looked sort of purple but then it completely changed to this bright vibrant pink color, it was amazing! I purchased the micro ones for my friends gender reveal and ended up using 2 out of the 3. We placed them inside a pumpkin and honestly 1 of them would’ve been enough! But amazing smoke bomb! So i was the gender reveal keeper for my sister in law i was so excited how it would turn out due to us never have used a smoke bomb for a gender.
