The TP40 is activated by pulling the top cap straight upward — ideal for fast, one-handed redeploys. (Wire-pull models like the WP40-D and Twin Vent II activate by pulling a ring away from the body instead.) Both ignition systems produce the same dense smoke; top-pull is purely a faster, one-handed activation style.

Each TP40 burns for ≈ 60 seconds of dense colored smoke — enough time to work the scene. Need longer? The WP40 runs ≈ 90 seconds. Need a quick dense burst? The Twin Vent II dumps its charge in ≈ 25 seconds from both ends.
